‘Nothing brings people together like good Food and Drink‘ ❤️
Nothing says I love you like a gift! However sometimes its nice to go beyond flowers and chocolates and try a new experience. We may not be able to go out and enjoy the Valentine’s weekend in the traditional sense, however if you are looking for an experience to do with a loved one, then I have a few ideas up my sleeve.
I have put together a list of 5 Valentines Food & Drink Events taking place online this weekend.
So whether your star crossed lovers or maybe your loved ones are your friends and family, these events are open to all to attend.
Saturday 13th February | 19.30pm – 20.30pm
Wishing you all a Gintastic Valentines with this fun and interactive Gin Tasting Event. The Shakespeare Distillery will be sharing their knowledge and providing you with the opportunity to taste three different gins from their collection range. Also for the hardcore Gin Lover, there’s an added bonus as you will be able to glimpse behind the scenes on some of the gin’s distillery methods.
Sunday 14th February | 18.00pm – 20.00pm
Yummy!! The menu for this looks delicious… especially the dessert!!! If you fancy treating yourself to food worthy of a high end restaurant then look no further. James Featherstone (previous finalist from Masterchef the Professionals), will be dedicating his expertise on Valentines evening to help you prepare a delicious DIY menu. This interactive 2 hour cooking class is designed for 2 people and whether you’re a superstar in the kitchen or a complete novice, this cooking class is open and welcome to everyone.
Friday 12th February | 18.30pm – 19.30pm
What a Romantic Wine!! Apparently Valpolicella is an Italian wine from the home of Romeo and Juliet, therefore it seems only fitting to make an appearance on the most romantic weekend of the year. From the knowledge of a professional sommelier, you will be guided on how to taste and enjoy this special wine in the comfort of your own home.
Sunday 14th February | 19.00pm
A very Greek affair is what I would call this event. Featuring Mextaxa a Greek spirit and a Greek inspired food pairing kit from Oliveology, you will definitely feel like you’ve travelled to Greece by the end of this event. During the evening you will make your own cocktails using the miniature Mextaxa samples provided, which will be complemented by a mini feast of Greek delights.
Sunday February 14th | 17.00pm – 21.00pm
Discovering the flavours of Afro-Carribean food, Michelin-star trained Head Chef Anthony Cumberbatch will be dazzling you all with mouth-watering food. He will teach you how to cook, prepare and plate for a very creative and informative evening. However, that’s not where the fun ends. In addition to the live cooking event there will also be live music performances, interactive games, fun prizes and a free online after party to attend.
Happy Valentines Weekend 😍
